Welcome to all Visitors
Who are we? St Wilfrid’s is an Anglican Church, consisting of a wide range of people, from all ages and backgrounds. You are assured of a very warm welcome.

When to arrive. It's probably best to arrive at least 10 minutes before the service begins. If you are driving, you'll be pleased to hear that there is plenty of free parking 5 mins walk from the church. For directions, please see our How to find us page.

For the less able. We aim to be all-inclusive, however, our 12th century building does have limitations. Our church is wheelchair accessible, although the approach is via a fairly steep drive. We now have mobility scooter for transporting the less able up the hill to Church. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet in the churchyard. We also have an amplification system and a loop system for hearing aid users. If you wish to discuss specific needs, do feel free to contact the church office.

What to wear. Casual or smart are both fine.

What to expect. Inside, you will be greeted by the welcome team, who will give you a newsletter and any books you may need. The content of our services varies, and you can find out more by checking our Services page. You can choose your service by worship style, or convenient time, or vary which you attend. Most services last just over an hour. We finish many of our morning services with tea and coffee and a chat.

What we believe. We are a Christian Church and believe in one God, manifested through the Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit. Please see the "Our Faith" page for more information.

Is it just Sundays? Absolutely not! God is with us all week long. To further encourage us we have midweek activities. Additionally, you may like to join an Alpha group to find out more about God and Christianity.
